“Our experience with Kaye while doing A DAY IN THE LIFE photo session was amazing. We just went about a typical day and she was like a fly on the wall capturing those little moments that would otherwise be forgotten. I am beyond pleased with how the pictures turned out and was touched to see some of the things she caught on camera. I know we will cherish these awesome photos forever!!” -Emily Creal
I became interested in this genre because it captures your normal, every day life. While researching this style I was drawn to how the images told a story and conveyed so much emotion. Children grow up incredibly fast and parents want to remember every little detail of childhood and so, A DAY IN THE LIFE, came to fruition. These sessions are the BEST way to preserve your every day life!
It is very typical on a standard session at the park for young children to not cooperate. They are in an environment they may not be comfortable with a crazy lady making noises or cracking a joke trying to get a smile. Children are often hungry or tired because we are shooting near sunrise/sunset or they just want to run around with all this open space. With A DAY IN THE LIFE SESSIONS I am on their turf. I come into your home and within a short amount of time normal life resumes and begin to play, fight with a sibling, or forget I’m even there.
A DAY IN THE LIFE SESSIONS ARE:
Perfect for young children who often have ‘fake smiles’ in the posed family photo
Great for parents who want to preserve how their children are right now
Fantastic alternative to the yearly traditional park session
FUN! In addition to capturing your every day life such as chores, story time, play time, bath time we will throw some family activities with endless possibilities: a family bike ride, build a fort, trip to the local ice cream shop, grocery store, play in the sprinklers, wash the dog, build a snowman…
RELAXED! After a little pre-planning for your session the rest is easy! I give very little direction because my goal is to capture your every day life without interruption. You will probably forget I’m there!
Most importantly they allow the entire family to be in the pictures capturing those every day little faces your children make, the hugs and kisses you get, the occasional meltdown or time out, but mostly all the love your family has!
