A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MIDDLETON FAMILY

I was lucky enough to spend A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MIDDLETOWN FAMILY recently!  I’ve photographed this adorable family for years now and it’s so rewarding watching the kids grow up.  When I walked into their new home it was moving to see so much of my work on the walls.  I know...

THE POLITE FAMILY | 2016

I adore THE POLITE FAMILY!  I have been lucky enough to snap their pictures for quite a few years now!  We have done a combination of lifestyle and traditional sessions with this family which I HIGHLY recommend.  I love a good family portrait but also the laid back lifestyle session where personalities really come out.  You...

LILAH + REBECCA | DANCE

LILAH + REBECCA | DANCE Besties, Lilah and Rebecca,  stopped by the studio for some pictures in their dance outfits.  This is a tough age to photograph because the last thing an active toddler wants to do is stay in one place but I think we managed to get some great pictures.  They are so full of...

KENNA | TWEEN GOLDEN HOUR

Kenna | Tween Golden Hour I took my tween niece (Kenna) out to scout some new locations in Johnson County over the weekend and am madly in love with both the location and these images of her!  I often talk about how important light is for sessions and this is a perfect example of why!  The...

FAMILY OF THREE AND A TEEPEE- Nelson Atkins Museum of Art– Kansas City, MO This adorable family of three is about to become four this Fall!  We met at the Nelson Atkins museum for a cool but gorgeous sunset filled evening.  I gasped when I saw Noah’s little feet in a pair of Tom’s loafers...

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
