GRIEF | ONE YEAR LATER

I will never forget the phone call from Scott on my way home from an out of town photo shoot.  He said that Pig wasn’t acting like himself… that was the longest drive home.  When I got home, I rushed in picked up Pig and started to cry.  I knew just from the way he felt...

GRIEF AND A FINDING A NEW NORMAL

GRIEF AND FINDING A NEW NORMAL It’s been 5 months since I said goodbye to my furry soulmate.  In some ways, it seems like he has been gone much longer and in others, much less.  When Mr. Piggy died a part of my heart did too.  Many people told me the pain would never go away and I...

CLOSE BY ME

After my furry soulmate, Mr. Piggy passed away my family and I wanted to find a way to keep him close to my heart.   I searched and searched until I stumbled across a company on etsy called “Close by me.”  This jewelry shop uses cremated ashes from your loved one and creates a beautiful masterpiece set in sterling...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BEST FRIENDS

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BEST FRIENDS “There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder,  smile a litter bigger and live just a little bit better.” Their moms are best friends and now these two toddlers are best friends.  It’s been so fun watching Lilah and Rebecca grow up together....

MY FURRY SOULMATE | THE LIFE OF MR. PIGGY

MY FURRY SOULMATE | THE LIFE OF MR. PIGGY This is the hardest blog I’ve ever written but I wanted to honor my sweet boy and the wonderful life he had. February of 2000, I decided to adopt a cat.  A local vet connected me with a lady who rescues them so on a cold winter...

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
