A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE CREAL FAMILY | TRAINS, FORTS & PLAY-DOH

“Our experience with Kaye while doing A DAY IN THE LIFE  photo session was amazing.  We just went about a typical day and she was like a fly on the wall capturing those little moments that would otherwise be forgotten.  I am beyond pleased with how the pictures turned out and was touched to see some of the things she caught on camera.  I know we will cherish these awesome photos forever!!”       -Emily Creal

I have photographed the Creal family for a number of years.  Each time we meet at the park for the yearly posed picture it never fails that one of the boys doesn’t want to cooperate.  As an alternative to a regular session, we decided that A DAY IN THE LIFE SESSION would be the perfect fit.  I’m THRILLED with the results and the family has a wonderful story to share with friends and family. They can look back years from now with this wonderful treasure of memories.  To  learn more about A DAY IN THE LIFE SESSIONS, CLICK HERE!

I pulled up to the beautiful home of John and Emily Creal on an unusually warm winter day.  This home is extra special because John grew up here!  When I walked in, I immediately noticed all the family pictures around the house, the boogie wipes on the counter, the height chart on the laundry door frame, art work lining the walls downstairs and the little shoes, coats and backpacks on the coat rack.   Two eager toddlers awaited my arrival and it didn’t take long before Henry and Lou ran downstairs and got lost in the moment playing trains while little brother, Paul, watched on.  Dad joined in and the fort building commenced.    John said that Lou is much better at destroying the fort than building it.  🙂

After trains and forts, Henry and Lou got out the play-doh.  Little hands pressed the play-doh into proud animals and objects while Lucy the family dog watched over.  It has been so long since my play-doh days but I really wanted to dig in with them!

After a very messy pizza lunch it was time to put Paul down for a nap.  I loved watching Emily soothe Paul into a dreamy state of sleep.  Little Paul is adorable and his face LIGHTS UP around Emily!

Finally, Lou grabbed his favorite pajama pants from the dryer and the boys headed outside for a little outdoor time in the leaves before grabbing a quick POSED family photo to end the wonderful day.  What a blessing these three little boys are and the love that John and Emily have for their children is palpable!

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
