I have admired the floral arrangements in my salon (Xiphium) for a few months. I was drawn to the colors, balance and quality of the floral arrangements. At my last salon visit, I decided to snag a business card to check it out online and Flowers by Emily is the real deal! I enjoy supporting good people and talented local businesses so wanted to share her with all of you! If you are looking for a wedding florist or want to send a beautiful arrangement to a friend or family member, check her out! I sat down with the owner, Emily Fyten, to learn more about her business and snap a few photos. Emily’s daughter, Phoebe, was there to help out and she is so adorable!
Q: How many years have you been in business?
A: 9 years!
Q: Do you specialize in certain events?
A: We design for everything from weddings to everyday arrangements. We love to customize arrangements to fit customers needs and taste.

Q: Any advice to couples planning a wedding when selecting a florist?
A: Check out their work ahead of time, talk to other couples and trust the florist you select that they will bring your vision to fruition.
Q: How far in advance should a couple book you for their wedding?
A: June, September and October are the most popular months and booking a year in advance is recommended.
Q: How should a couple come prepared when meeting/consulting with you?
A: Come prepared to discuss your budget, color scheme and any inspiration you have collected from pinterest boards, magazines, etc.
A special thanks to Emily, Cole and Rebecca for letting me snap these photos of you all working!
