UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

My cat, Mr. Piggy, was my furry soulmate. I knew as he got older that I wanted to do a photo shoot with him in my home. I wanted to remember the little moments that I treasured on a day to day basis. Mr. Piggy was not afraid of guests so I knew it could work for us. So, I hired a photographer to capture a normal day for us. When Mr. Piggy passed those photos became treasures that brought me so much peace. To see our love captured was one of the best gifts I had to remember such an important part of my life.

Amanda contacted me to tell me that her dog, Dagwood, received a terminal diagnosis and wanted to schedule an in the home session before it was too late. These are my favorite sessions because they capture the normal day  we don’t want to forget. From hanging out on the couch to the puppy dog kisses and everything in between… these are the precious details that bring us so much joy. The unconditional love that pets bring us is undeniable.

Dagwood was 11 years young when Amanda said goodbye to her sweet puppy. I know this was incredibly difficult but I hope these images will soon be loving memories. The love Amanda has for her fur babies is very transparent and I just loved this tender session so much.

Here are some of my favorites of Amanda, Dagwood (white), and Annie (brown/white) in their adorable Brookside home.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” -Winnie the Pooh

Get to know me!

I have always been more interested in capturing everyday moments and genuine emotions of people and this is reflected in how I photograph my clients. I will always prefer laughter instead of a cheesy smile. I will always prefer to leave the disney band-aid on the scabbed knee instead of photoshopping it out. I will always prefer the image of you gazing at your dog as he wags his tail and kisses your face despite how 'fat' you feel. Time goes REALLY fast so choose to live in the moment and I would love to capture it for you!
